How about SAVING SOME MONEY this year? Here's something I found on Pinterest: a money saving challenge that seems like relatively easy-piecey to do. At least in the beginning... Maia and I are so doing this! We've actually already SPENT the money: a new MacBook Air for me and and iPad Mini for her in December. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
The instructions from this BLOG are extremely simple:
Here's the name of the game!
Each week of the year, you save that much in dollars!
I went to the hospital for eye surgery and was back really quick. I was not even supposed to stay overnight but did cause things got delayed and by the evening I was still pretty out of it with all the painkillers I'd been given. So far so good. I am now resting home and getting ready for my first real check-up on Friday. Let's see what my wonderful doctor says - did the surgery work out or not. And let's hope it did.
I was told to dress comfy for that day, so I opted for jeans, a sweater, Uggs and a little Longschamps clutch with some cash, cards, phone and lipbalm inside - I NEVER go anywhere without a lipbalm.
What's funny in these pics, is that you can sort of see that I am a bit scared, don't you think?
One of the many many things I wanted to improve this year was my family's diet. Healthier, cleaner, lighter. And as part of that, for more than a month now, I have planned to start baking our own bread on weekends. Bread from the store, you see, contains many ingredients I don't like: sugar for instance.
So, on Sunday I finally got my act together and baked. White flour, milk, yeast, just a little sugar and salt and voilá, a fine bread it became. There aren't many things that smell better than fresh bread just out of the oven. The kids love it and so do I.
