The Apples of My Eye

Today, finally, at last, äntligen, enfin, it was the last day of school. Yesterday, it felt like the heaven (and the dishes as well as the laundry) was comming down on us... but now it is time to *sigh*, big time. Especially for Luis, who finishes Elementary School.

I must say: I  am so proud of my little ones. They are so smart and preppy. They have - schoolwise - been very good this year like all the previous years. Good grades and behaviour. Despite of the recent changes we've been through.

I simply love them to bits. Mr. Luis, I mean Dr. Luis Maurin (Harvard) and Ms. Maurin Maia, Attorney of law (Yale Uni). LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Lovelies, you've deserved your holidays!

So True!

Of all the memes circulating in Facebook this Mother's Day, I found this the most accurate...Not to mention the emotional strain. "Mom, you have three chins and two bellies!" (Maia, 10)

Life Hacks #3

Every mother knows how difficult it is to come up with new ideas for meals and how hard it is to remember everything when in the supermarket and also, how tiresome it is to cook, every day and twice on weekends for growing kids who are not shy with their feedback... ("Our step-mother cooks so much better!")

I was lucky to stumble into a major life-made-easier concept yesterday. I bought a "design meal". In a plastic bag. Made it and it was soooo gooood. Will buy this again, and do warmly recommend:

Easter in Saint Pete's

Our trip to East was a great success. We had a blast just as you can see in these photos. And as you can see in these photos, I was in a nostalgic mood.

Gotta love RUSSIA: we slept like in heaven, ate like kings and queens, walked a lot and saw many wonders. Saint Petersburg truly is one of the most beautiful cities, I've seen. Big and beautiful.

Travelling with these two IS the crazzzziest thing to do, though :D
Absolut madness :D but would go again. Tomorrow.
