Harlequin Bliss

I spotted these goodies in one of my fave blogs, Reelinki some time ago. As much as I have decided I will NOT repeat past mistakes and go all Ikea on my new home... I'll probably go Ikea again. Because Bråkig.

And tomorrow, April 1st, Ikea launches the new PS 2014 collection. Get a sneak peek HERE. I'm thinking free bus from Hakaniemi. I'm thinking tomorrow after work. I'm thinking maybe...

Casual Friday

TGIF! I took my dog Bambi to the office today - since I did not have any meetings, just writings to do. Oh, I did have one meeting with my closest colleagues, though... And one of my "favourite" colleagues, Mikko took this "breast-feeding" photo in the midst of it... See, it's quite challenging to work with these people...

..Buuut anyway, Ha p p y  F r i d a y!

Bag Lady

Yes, that's me. I'm a big time bag lady. I rarely go out of the house without a handbag. Big or small, it doesn't matter. But what's in that handbag? Nothing important really. Money? Gimme a brrreak!

I finally did it the way I've dreamt of.
Now I'm happy!

Trip to Spring

My lonely weekend trip to Copenhagen was sooo relaxing! I met an old friend, who lives there and enjoyed his hilarious company for over three days. Thanks so much for being so funny, Paul!

Copenhagen is, although Paul begged to differ, PARADISE on earth. People are so happy there they actually SING as they bike in their fresh and cinnamon scented city by the sea on a Saturday morning to grab a coffee and bun at Emmery's.

Northern Finland

I took a short biztrip to Northern Sweden and Finland in the delightful company of some old and new colleagues and business and administration representatives. A very real reminder of many things: long distances in this godfors... I mean blessed country and genuine Northern people for instance.

A reminder of our agrarian past and our very industry-based economy, which has proven so successful in the past, which has paid great dental care and and excellent education for all of us. Forestry, paper and pulp, steel, IT and games. Energy intensive mostly, the pride of our country.

The plane was small and noisy. The airports here are the size of a regular gas station...
This is the Gulf of Bothnia. You can see ice rafts and an ice frosting near the shore.
This mill in Kemi was founded in 1893.
Kemi-Tornio has a population of about 60.000 people.

What a week! I've done so much.

This is not Bambi, but it could be. Pinterest.

Something I learnt in America: never underestimate the fun of clipping coupons!

I already have 2 Teema cups thanks to these little stickers I collect!
And thanks to the Siwa and Valintatalo campaigns (until end of March.)

Yeah, and those stylish b/w coasters are from Tiger...

Little H

We are moving. Again. Or rather, we finally found a place to build a new home, after we left our home sweet home in Washington DC in January.

After a painstaking "almost 3 months" (irony!!!) of waiting, I got an offer I could not refuse - an apartment in Pikku Huopalahti ("Little Felt Bay") in a house built in 1994. I fell in love with the neighborhood, the apartment and with myself again.  Which made the decision refreshingly easy.

The pics are from here and there from Google images on "Pikku Huopalahti"

Skinny Black

They are back!
According to this Gap commercial, they were back in 2007.
But they still are, always will be back.
Ask Audrey if you don't believe me.

My Heart @Home

Home is where your <3 is.

The poster is eating books and Luis's T-shirt says I <3 Milou.

My heart is right here relaxing on the sofa, which I bought from
The pillows and the cool print in a frame are from OLKKARI JA KRUUNUKIRPPU.
The red rug is a donation from a good friend.

Postcards From Abroad

Hi there! I traveled to Sweden with Luis and Maia some 10 days ago. Here's some pics from the beautiful city of Stockholm. The weather was not very good and we only had one short day to visit (but the best guide!) AND still it was sooooo worth it.

The kids L O V E D the ferry. They didn't remember much of our earlier "Sweden-boat" trips, many years ago. Maia said: "Oh, I wish we could stay on the boat for a whole week!" Well, we all know it'd be such an inhuman thing to impose on anyone... but I kinda guesssed this trashy way of traveling would "talk" to my offspring...

Anyway, it was a great trip! Loved it  - ate well, drank some Prosecco (sorry Tupu, I'm back to my trashy habits), took pics and shopped some deco (@Muji) and make-up items (@& Other Stories).

Bye Stockholm! We'll be back next summer!
